Most of the "best SaaS SEO agencies" lists on Google's first page are published by SaaS SEO agencies. MADX, SimpleTiger, Powered by Search and Taylor Scher all rank with lists of this kind, and all four are also in mine. That does not make their lists wrong, but it does mean prices and minimums are usually missing.
I do not run an agency. I build RankBuddy, which is software for founders who do SEO themselves, so it is not in this list. For the ten agencies below I checked the same things on each one: what it publishes about price and contract terms on its own site, its minimum project size and hourly rate on Clutch, and one result it publishes from a SaaS client.
Quick picks:
- Seed or early stage, small budget: Embarque (from $1,500/mo) or a consultant like Taylor Scher
- Series A and up, SEO as a main channel: Skale, MADX or SimpleTiger
- Content-led growth: Animalz or Grow and Convert
- SEO as part of full-funnel B2B marketing: Directive or Powered by Search
- Programmatic SEO next to paid ads: SaaSHero
- Not sure you need an agency yet: read the last section first

What the comparison shows
Four of ten publish real prices, and they are the smaller specialists. Embarque, MADX, Taylor Scher and SaaSHero list numbers. SimpleTiger gives a formula instead: packages start at 5% of revenue or funding, which for a company that raised $2 million would mean about $100,000 a year. The larger full-funnel agencies publish nothing.
Entry points for a real program sit between $1,500 and $10,000 a month. For comparison, Clutch's SEO pricing data puts the average SEO engagement across all industries at $3,199 a month. SaaS specialists are not cheaper than generalists; you pay for knowing how to turn traffic into signups and demos.
Three of ten are not SEO-first. Directive and Powered by Search are B2B demand generation agencies where SEO is one channel next to paid media and RevOps. SaaSHero is mainly a paid ads agency with programmatic SEO as an add-on. That is fine if you want one partner for the whole funnel, and the wrong fit if you only want SEO.
Case studies are percentages, not pipeline. "1,536% traffic growth" is impressive and tells you little without the starting number. MADX is the exception in this list: its Postalytics case gives the absolute numbers (4,916 to 82,505 monthly visits in 12 months). Ask every agency for the same: starting traffic, end traffic, and signups or demos.
What a SaaS SEO agency should do that a generalist will not
This is the part that justifies paying a specialist. If a proposal does not mention most of these, it is a general SEO proposal with SaaS in the title.
- Bottom-of-funnel pages first: comparison, alternative and "best X for Y" pages, because they convert to trials far better than top-of-funnel posts.
- Product-led content: articles that show your product solving the problem, written by people who used it, not generic how-tos.
- Integration and use-case pages, and a plan for which of them deserve to be indexed.
- Programmatic SEO with a quality bar: templates that create pages people want, not thousands of thin variants.
- Reporting on signups, demos and pipeline, connected to your CRM, not only on traffic and rankings.
- Technical SEO for app-heavy sites: JavaScript rendering, app subdomains, docs and changelog pages that waste crawl budget.
The agencies, one by one
Embarque
SEO and content for fast-growing companies, from solo founders to enterprise, with backlinks, programmatic SEO and Reddit work but no paid media. Founded by Julian Canlas. It publishes four tiers from $1,500 to $10,000 a month on 3, 6 or 12-month terms paid quarterly, the cheapest entry point here. Its Instatus case reports organic traffic up 1,536% and MRR up 833% in 11 months. Note that its site says both "3-month minimum" and "cancel anytime", so get the terms in writing.
MADX
B2B SaaS SEO, GEO, content and digital PR, aimed at funded startups building their first organic channel and established brands. Co-founded by Perry Steward. Plans start at $3,500 a month on a 12-month term, or rolling after a 3-month minimum, and links are sold separately from $195 to $965 per placement. Its Postalytics case is the most transparent in this list: 4,916 to 82,505 monthly organic visits over 2022.
Taylor Scher Consulting
A consultant rather than an agency, focused on B2B SaaS SEO consulting, content and fractional SEO leadership. Published prices start at $4,000 for consulting, $5,500 for content and $7,500 for fractional SEO, month to month. Pick this if you want one senior person instead of an account team. His Delaget case reports demo requests up 161% in six months.
SaaSHero
Mainly a paid ads agency for SaaS and B2B (search, social, landing pages, attribution), founded by Aaron Rovner. Its programmatic SEO service costs $5,000 a month as an add-on or $6,000 on its own, with a minimum of 150 articles. Worth a look if paid ads are your main channel and you want programmatic pages run by the same team. Not a pure SEO agency.
SimpleTiger
B2B SaaS and AI companies from seed to enterprise, with SEO, AEO, content and link building in house, plus PPC and RevOps. No fixed prices: packages start at 5% of revenue or funding. Clutch shows 4.9 from 32 reviews. Its Invoca case reports a 41:1 return over the first ten months.
Skale
An SEO-only agency for SaaS and tech: strategy, technical SEO, content, link building, GEO and migrations, with no paid media. Co-founded by Italo Viale and Jake Stainer, and says it has worked with 60+ SaaS brands. No published prices; Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum and 4.9 from 20 reviews. Its Holded case reports organic signups up 1,370% and paid subscriptions up 1,650%.
Animalz
A content marketing agency for B2B SaaS, VCs and tech: thought leadership, research reports, SEO and AEO, technical SEO and content refreshes. It does not do link building or paid. Clutch lists the highest minimum here among those that disclose one ($10,000+). Pick it if your growth depends on content people quote and share, not on volume.
Grow and Convert
Conversion-focused SEO content for SaaS and B2B companies, best after product-market fit. I could not find published prices or a Clutch profile. Its Geekbot case reports 1,745 more free trial signups and 232,493 more organic sessions.
Powered by Search
B2B demand generation covering SEO, PPC, account-based marketing, content, digital PR and HubSpot RevOps, for SaaS, tech and other B2B companies. Founded by Dev Basu. No published prices; Clutch lists $5,000+ projects at $200 to $300 an hour. Choose it if you want SEO measured as part of pipeline next to paid and ABM.
Directive
Full-funnel B2B marketing, from paid and content to creative and RevOps, with an explicit focus on qualified pipeline over MQLs. Co-founded by Garrett Mehrguth. The largest team here (50 to 249 people on Clutch, 4.8 from 56 reviews). Engagements start with an RFP or intro call. Its AxisCare case reports 70% more traffic and 200% more demos.
How to choose by company stage
Before product-market fit. Do not hire an SEO agency yet. You do not know which searches lead to customers, and an agency will guess on your money. Do the basics yourself or with a consultant for a few hours.
Seed, first organic channel. A consultant or an entry tier: Taylor Scher, Embarque's lower tiers, or a fractional SEO lead. Budget $1,500 to $5,000 a month, and insist on bottom-of-funnel pages first.
Series A and up, SEO as a main channel. An SEO specialist with SaaS case studies and pipeline reporting: Skale, MADX or SimpleTiger. Expect $3,500 to $10,000 a month and a 3 to 12-month commitment.
SEO is one channel among several. If you also run paid search, ABM and RevOps, a full-funnel agency like Directive or Powered by Search can own the whole pipeline instead of handing reports between vendors.
For the questions to ask any SEO provider before signing, see my checklist in how to vet an AI SEO expert. If you want an agency that also works on visibility in ChatGPT and AI Overviews, I compared ten AI SEO agencies separately.
When a SaaS company should not hire an agency yet
If your budget is under about $1,500 a month, or the real problem is that nobody looks at Search Console, fixes what breaks or ships the comparison pages you already know you need, an agency is the expensive answer. Start with the right tools for your stage, which I compared in best SEO tools for SaaS, or an AI SEO agent that does the daily checks and drafts for your approval. I compared ten of those, including RankBuddy, in AI SEO agents compared.
How I made this comparison
- Which agencies: the SaaS specialists that rank on page one of Google (US) for "saas seo agency", "best saas seo agency" and "b2b saas seo agency", or that appear most often in those lists, in October 2026.
- Price and terms: only what each agency publishes on its own site. Where nothing is published, I say so.
- Clutch: minimum project size, hourly rate and reviews from each agency's Clutch profile. Agencies fill these in themselves.
- Proof: one result each agency publishes from a SaaS client, quoted as the agency states it. I did not verify these results independently.
- What I did not do: I did not hire any of these agencies, so nothing here is a review of their work.
