Backlink Analysis

In your own words
Ask it like this
Backlink Analysis is not a screen to configure. It is a conversation — these are the prompts the app itself suggests.
- Summarize my backlink profile
- Compare referring domains vs a competitor
- Check Ahrefs DR for my site and rivals
What you get
The work comes back finished
Backlink Analysis returns something you can act on the same day, not a dashboard to interpret on your own.
Domain Rating, straight from Ahrefs
The 0–100 authority score as Ahrefs publishes it, unmodified, plus a plain-language read on what that level of authority can realistically compete for.
Who actually links to you
Referring domains and total backlinks, with the pattern behind them — whether your authority rests on a handful of strong links or a long tail of weak ones.
The gap against your rivals
Sites that link to a competitor and not to you, which is the shortest list of realistic link targets anyone can hand you.
How it works
Three steps, and you are done
Backlink Analysis runs the same way everything else here does — one workspace, one conversation, and nothing published behind your back.
Connect your website
One workspace per site. It crawls what you have, learns what the business does, and — if you connect Google Search Console — starts from your own measured performance rather than from market averages.
Ask for the job
Pick the skill or let Auto route it, and describe what you want in a sentence. It buys the data it needs from DataForSEO and Ahrefs instead of estimating it, and reads the live results for the terms in question.
Review, then decide
The findings land in chat and are saved to the project, so the next question builds on them. Nothing reaches your site unless you approve it — the only thing that can publish is an article, to a CMS you connected.
Under the hood
The numbers are bought, not guessed
Everything Backlink Analysis tells you traces back to a source you can name.
- Ahrefs — Domain Rating
- DataForSEO — backlinks, referring domains
Included in every plan. There is no separate vendor account to connect and no usage bill on top of the subscription — where a figure is an estimate rather than a measurement, the answer says so.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is the Domain Rating the real Ahrefs score?
Yes. It comes from Ahrefs and is passed through unchanged. It is not a substitute metric calculated in-house and rebadged.
Do I need my own Ahrefs subscription?
No. The data is bought on your behalf and included in your plan. There is no separate vendor account to connect and no usage bill on top of the subscription.
Can it tell me which links are hurting me?
It flags the patterns that usually signal a problem — bursts of links from unrelated domains, over-optimised anchor text, low-authority networks. Deciding to disavow is a judgement call it will support with evidence rather than make for you.
Will it build links for me?
No. It finds and prioritises the opportunities; the outreach is yours. Nothing in RankBuddy contacts another site on your behalf.
