In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.

Name it RankBuddy and paste the server URL above.

Select Connect, sign in to RankBuddy and allow access.

In a chat, turn RankBuddy on from the + menu, under Connectors.

Claude’s free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it for the organization and each member connects their own RankBuddy account.

Any other client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth works the same way: add a server with the URL above, and the client opens RankBuddy’s sign-in the first time a tool is used.

Let Claude use it without asking

Claude asks before it calls a connector’s tool until you allow it. Every RankBuddy tool only reads data, so allowing them all is safe.

How requests are counted

Every plan includes it, the free plan too. Your assistant spends the same requests as RankBuddy’s own chat.
Starting a question is free. Reading your sites, what you told RankBuddy about them and how many requests are left uses none.
One request covers one question. It is used when the first tool brings back an answer, and every other tool your assistant calls for the same question is included, up to a few calls per tool. Your next message is a new question.
A failure costs nothing. If a tool fails or is refused, no request is used.
Your assistant’s own usage is not ours. Claude or ChatGPT counts it against your plan with them, not against RankBuddy.
When requests run out, the assistant tells you and links to pricing.

Security and privacy

You sign in with your RankBuddy account and approve access on rankbuddy.io. Your assistant never sees your password.
The tools only read data. They cannot change your sites, publish anything or see your billing.
To disconnect, open the menu under your avatar in RankBuddy and choose Connected assistants. Access ends right away. You can also remove RankBuddy from your assistant’s connectors.
